It provides ample opportunities for students to indulge in indoor & outdoor sports activities. The students can play indoor games like chess, carom-board &outdoor games like badminton, volleyball etc. The college aims to develop professional competence through physical and emotional development for the benefit of the students.
Language lab is set up in the college because it is not only a place where learners perform language experiments but it is a special lab where language experiments can be practiced by speaking and listening with the help of sound equipments. The college is well equipped with microphones, LCD projector with screen, CPU & many CD’s to learn & speak English fluently.
The college has a state-of-the-art computer laboratory with Internet connection. The laboratory has 30 computers with the latest configurations especially for use by the students. The laboratory is also equipped with scanning and printing facilities. The college also has overhead projectors, Audio equipment, a VCD player and Television, and such other equipments which are often used in the teaching-learning process.
A well equipped art & craft resource centre is established in the college because canvas is the mode to express the inner feelings of students. Art is soul of life, creativity is cultured with opportunities extended to the students in many forms. All possible facilities & opportunities are extended to our students to engrave their minds with creativity.
The institution has a well defined library with open-access system. The Library provides services to the faculty members and students. In this regard, the library is supported by 100’s of educational CD’s including those of Encyclopedia Britannica and National Geographic Journals, including magazines, and newspaper. The library is constantly enriched and new material is added to keep abreast with latest changes and advancements in the field of education. For the convenience of the readers, photocopying facility has also been provided in the library premises. There is appropriate collection of books & periodicals in various disciplines for satisfying the needs of the students. The college provides an appropriate and comfortable environment and facilities for the use of Library resources and for individual and group study. There is a huge, reading room.
The various committees functioning in the college for the benefit of the students are Planning committee, Advisory committee, Committee for academic calendar, Anti-Ragging committee, Ethics committee, Steering committee, Grievance redressal cell for staff, Grievance redressal cell for students, Internal quality assurance cell, Quality assurance cell, Academic committee, Educational and cultural forum, Examination and internal assessment committee, Research and extension committee, Publication committee, Discipline committee, Tour and Excursion committee.
A national seminar on Educational Leadership was conducted in December 2015 where eminent speakers of international and national repute were the resource persons.
Truly the college has carved a distinct niche for itself and has set bench marks for other institutions as well.

Manrakhan Mahto B.Ed. College, Ranchi was established on 27th August 2012 by MRM Educational Trust, headed by Shri Manrakhan Mahto, Chairman, with the prime objective of preparing efficient and committed teachers for our country, with special emphasis on moral growth and development. The institution’s motto- Adhyayan, Anushasan, Aastha, Abhyaas and Adhyatmmeans Education, Discipline, Faith, Practice and Spirituality. Hence, the ultimate vision of the college is inclusive education through discipline and practice which will ultimately lead to immense faith in self, i.e. enhancing self efficacy as well as faith in the almighty with a spiritual bent of mind for doing things right. Our Vision is to provide academic integrity and accountability, Sincerity dedication, team work, tolerance towards the views of others, intellectual excellence and creativity and all other activities that promote public good, democratic principles of freedom and justice. Unfettered spirit of exploration, rationality and enterprise is the core to the fulfillment of our vision anddevelop the college into an autonomous Institution, Establish Research Centers for Ph.D. and M.Phil. programmes
The College has been relentlessly striving to upgrade itself and in that attempt the College applied for NAAC accreditation in 2015 and got accreditation from NAAC in February 2016 with a B grade. This was a major achievement and further in March 2016 the College got permission from NCTE, Bhubaneswar and Jharkhand Academic Council to start the D.El.Ed. Course from July 2016. This was another feather added to the cap and the crowning glory moment of the college was achieved in 2018 when it was granted permission / affiliation to start the M.Ed. course from September 2018 by HRD Jharkhand and NCTE, Bhubaneswar. This institution offers a wide range of programmes which help to develop intellectually competent, morally upright, psychologically integrated and socially committed teachers for service in the emerging world scenario of education. The institution utilizes all the available resources for experimentation and innovation which lend a hand in achieving the goal and excellence in teacher education. The defining moment of College was in 2015 when two students of B.Ed. (2014-15) batch were the Ranchi University toppers (both were placed in the University first position in B.Ed.) Till this day, the result of the College has been cent percent with all the students securing first division in the last B.Ed. exam held in 2017.
The present curriculum design is suitable for meeting the overall development of the students. In addition to this the institution aims at developing global competencies in future teachers through varied activities such as personality development programmes, communicative English classes SUPW & extension activities such as hospital & orphanage visits. Emphasis is laid on improving technical and teaching skills and training is imparted in application of differentmodels of teaching.
To give the idea of world citizenship, values of international understating are inculcated through various activities. Various international days like Human Rights Day, world environment day, Save Earth Day, International Women’s Day and Teacher’s Day are celebrated to make the students aware on all global issues. Campus cleaning and beautification, gardening and vegetable gardening, etc. are some of the SUPW activities offered by the institution. Environmental sanitation programmes are conducted with the active participation of student community. SWACCHA BHARAT campaign was undertaken by the college and the students were assigned to look after the cleanliness and hygiene of the local community. Seminars and exhibitions and annual field trips / tours are held by college.
Situated in lush green surroundings, the college is treat for the eyes and has a serene atmosphere. The College is equipped with facilities such as Canteen, Fresh Water supply, Internet Facility, Electricity, STD & Xerox facilities etc. You will find that the college itself is sufficient in every possible way. The Institute has spacious and architecturally designed lecture and tutorial rooms. The classrooms are furnished with modern furniture and other equipments. There are many facilities given to students – Science is not only knowledge but also an art. This art is explored, experimented and practiced in Science Resource Centre. Science cannot be taught effectively without testing, experimentation & demonstration of scientific facts. Science Resource Centre is the place & means with the help of which all these necessary activities can be performed smoothly & effectively. Maths Resource center is a place where students can learn & explore mathematical concepts & verify mathematical facts & theories through a variety of activities using different materials. Various experiments are done, models & charts are prepared by the students and extension lectures are delivered by educationists. We have a curiosity to know our intellectual level, interests, aptitudes, personality, adjustment etc. We can know such things about them through their measurements & this measurement is possible through relevant psychological tests. Hence there is a psychology lab too in the college.
